America250PA
As you may have heard,
America turns 250 years old next July 4.
Of course, as the seat of Independence, Pennsylvania has a lot of things planned.
One of the things that Pennsylvania is doing is installing a decorated
bell in every county.
You can read about it at America250PA
Montgomery County (the county next to mine) is the first around here to get their bell.
Logically, it is in Valley Forge National Park
in front of the Washington Chapel.
We also took a peek inside one of the small alcoves of the chapel
where the Freedom Bell is.
And as I always say,
don't forget to look UP.
I live in Bucks County.
I'm thinking our bell will probably be at the courthouse in Doylestown.
🤞
If you want to know what is going on in your state check:
That is so cool! I’ll have to check out Maryland’s. I’ll never forget being on the mall for the bicentennial. I’ve never seen fireworks or a crowd like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link! The Washington bell is beautiful. I love the architectural photos, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful bell! I'm going to check right now where ours will be.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
How interesting. Both the bell and the chapel in that setting are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool way to mark the birthday of our country! I'm glad you shared it with us!
