Independence Day
Have you ever heard the phrase,
Man* plans and God laughs?
I may have mentioned that there might be some challenges, but that they were good ones. They were ones we chose to put in play and we thought we would do well, with effort.
WELL, that all changed in a couple of hours.
Our son works for a government contractor. I'm not going to mention what departments that he works for, but his contracts over the past 164 days have been picked away bit by bit by the current federal administration until there wasn't much left.
Effective July 1 he no longer had a job. No warning; just you are done.
It certainly took the happy out of
Fourth of July!

For the next few days we are choosing to make lemonade out of 🍋🍋🍋🍋.
Stephen decided to come up for a visit.
A little someone is very happy about that.
The humans are pretty happy about it too.

Making sure ALL Stephen's things have a hearty covering of fur. |
*In this circumstance, it is WOMAN, not man.
I’m saddened to learn that Stephen lost his job. It would be extremely stressful to work with the unknown hanging over your head every day. I pray that the 🍋 🍋 🍋 make great lemonade for him and your family.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a revolving door around here for so many. First they get the notice that they are done and then they are hired back only to have everything they were working on upended and the people in charge clueless.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit. I'm expecting (almost hoping) one or both of mine to be in the same situation soon.
It sure does help to get together to commiserate when something like this happens. Sorry. I'm glad Giroux gave him a very warm welcome!
